I wrote this poem after reading an article about Bill Cosby’s guilty verdict quoted Janice Baker-Kinny (a victim of Bill Cosby’s) stated, “This toxic chain of silence has been broken”. https://www.yahoo.com/news/bill-cosby-went-expletive-laden-190830051.html “This toxic chain of silence
Has been broken.” Shredded to pieces By the violent force Of justice. No longer fearful No longer ashamed We are stronger We are braver We have a voice And we are LOUD! Hear our cries Through decades of pain As we shudder From exhaustion We hold our heads high As the judge proclaims, “Guilty.”
